Grandma & Grandpa Taylor Come to Visit

My parents left on Friday morning, and I frantically worked on cleaning the house and doing the laundry so we would be ready for our next guests.  Grandma & Grandpa Taylor were on their way for a visit.  They made it just in time to be there when the kids got home from school.  Friday night we went out to dinner and then Saturday morning we got up and packed a lunch and headed to Colorado National Monument which is near Grand Junction.  It was a beautiful nature area.  There were rock formations and along the way there were many areas that you could stop off and go for hikes.  We looked at some of the formations,  I think that Brock and Breanna are pointing at kissing rock.

For September it was still very hot.  Andrew had fun playing in the water fountain :)
Then we stopped at the Colorado National Monument Visitor Center.
 We found a few lizards.

Then later in the afternoon we went on a short hike called Kitchen Table (or something like that)

Sunday we relaxed and visited and went to church.  Robert & Toni got up and left shortly after the kids went to school on Monday morning.  It was a short visit, but fun to show them around our new place.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit Colorado

My dad had a doctors appointment in Salt Lake in mid September and so I convinced him to bring the trailor and stay with us for a week or so.  The kids were so excited to have them come and stay.  They set the trailor up in our driveway, they slept out there and had breakfast out there (only because they wanted to--not because they weren't invited in)  The kids loved spending time with them, playing games, eating cookies.  We also did a few fun things.
We took them to Rifle Falls...

We also went to the Fish Hatchery
On Saturday afternoon we drove up to Glenwood Springs and past to the Costco, it was a nice windy road and it was raining--it was a beautiful drive--  It stopped raining and so on the way back to Rifle we stopped in Glenwood Springs at the Glenwood Caverns.  It was can food day so it was a great deal for us.  We rode the gondola up and at the top there were many activities for us to do.
An Alpine Slide for Russell, Logan, Brock, and Brinton

 A zipline for Breanna & I
Hattie rode an old wagon train ride
Everyone had a chance to shoot a rifle game.

 It was a beautiful view

Earlier on Saturday morning there was a Safety Day put on by the Rifle Fire Department and Grand River Hospital.  My mom and I were at a Stake Relief Society activity--So Russell and my dad took the kids to see what was going on

The kids all had a chance to have a sleepover with grandma and grandpa in the trailor.

We also went to Grand Junction for a day.  It was just nice having them with us in Colorado.  It was sad to see them go back home.

Labor Day Weekend

We had not planned a trip to Idaho until October, but having a new nephew in Idaho Falls and the need visit and to say goodbye to our Journee Circle house (which would be sold Sept 6th).  I packed up the girls and the little boys for a quick trip home.  We left Friday morning and drove all day.  The kids were great travelers.  We surprised a few people that didn't know that we were coming.  We welcomed baby Miles, I had lunch with a few of my besties, cried when said goodbye to our Journee circle house, kids were able to see and play with some of their friends, hugs and kisses from grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  It was a great trip and I learned that anytime I needed to visit Idaho I could do it!!  {The big boys and Russell stayed in Colorado and went for a couple mountain bike rides}
