Packing up!

Ok so the next few posts are going to make me have a cry party all over again.

But they need to be documented so here goes.

On Friday the packers came. I thought that they would only pack a few things and in reality they only left a few things out, {some kitchen things, stuff in my bedroom, and some stuff in the garage}. So we were pretty much in moving mode.

This is what it looked like in the bathroom, giving the little boys a bath.

Russell was supposed to fly in on Friday night and in the afternoon we got a call from Delta saying his flight was cancel and they had re-booked him for Saturday morning.

We were sad--but had to deal with it. Here is what the kitchen looked like on Friday night.

Reality started setting in and I had to come to the realization that I really was moving. Crazy!!
Saturday we spent some time doing odd and ends things.
Most of which had to be done around the boxes.

Monday the packers were supposed to come back and finish packing--but in the late afternoon they called and said they would finish while the movers were moving things out.

Bright and early Tuesday morning the truck came, backed up to the driveway and they began to work. I thought that there would be a little bit of order to the process. But again I was wrong. They just did it in their own way.

Since the movers won't move things like propane, fingernail polish, flammable things and we didn't want to leave all that kind of stuff behind. We rented a U-haul to carry that stuff and our freezer and any other important things we thought we might need.

The movers just kept on bringing stuff out to the driveway and then packing it in.

This is what the trailer looked like empty.

And here it is full of our belongings.

They couldn't fit our motorbike trailer or one of the motorbikes.

I was pretty impressed by their ability to pack the stuff in.

And then they closed the trailer up and drove away.

It was quite a weird feeling to watch everything you own and love,

and everything that feels like home just drive away.

Then many of my friends came and helped me clean everything out.

Takara and Mike brought us over some dinner and a table and some plates and forks and a drink. We were very grateful.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get to this point of our move.

We love our neighbors, ward members, family members, friends, teachers.

You will all hold a special place in our hearts. We love you guys!!
